Day Camp – Chipmunks, Pathfinders & Pioneers
Please scroll down for 2012 Dates.
All of our day camp programs are the alternative to large impersonal camps! Each program is geared towards helping the camper discover the natural surroundings and their inner strength. Chipmunks, Pathfinders & Pioneers thrive in our small-groups. They are encouraged to make friends, explore the environment and challenge themselves, all in a safe non– competitive, well-supported environment.
Your camper’s fun doesn’t have to end at 4:00 p.m. Overnight camp extends their day and expands their camp experience. We highly recommend overnight to anyone 10yrs and up, especially those who have experienced our day camp program.
Group Size Limit 10-12 per group
Format: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

General Day Camp Information
CHIPMUNKS
Day Camp Program 6-7 Year Olds
Based out of our Southwick camp location, Chipmunks will head out each day to explore the Greater Westfield area. Their field trips will lead them to parks, wooded areas, and streams where they will be able to get wet, dirty, and muddy as they play and work together in the out of doors. Chipmunks can expect to spend the week hiking, playing cooperative games, team building activities, swimming, climbing our high ropes course, stream hiking, snorkeling and more. Our professional wilderness leader staff, know just how to balance fun, excitement and education in their ‘outdoor classroom.’ In addition to a jam-packed week of safe outdoor activities, we provide 1+ group swimming lessons per week and a daily afternoon snack for our Chipmunks.

Goal-setting, as individuals and as a group, is an important focus during the week. Your young adventurer will go home every day at 4:00 wishing they were signed up for the overnight Explorer program! Activities could include, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, snorkeling, climbing our high ropes course, rock-climbing, orienteering, stream hiking, low rope initiatives, biking, cooperative games and challenges, primitive skills, fishing, swimming and more!
ALL Pioneer programs in 2012 will have a ‘One Night Overnight’ for the entire group. This will be a great way for kids to get a taste as to what our ‘Explorer’ Program is all about. You’ll drop them off Thursday at 9am, and will pick them up Friday at 4pm. The group will sleep in tents, cook their meals over an open fire and enjoy the magic of the woods at night time.
